Framer Website Projects in 2025
TL;DR: I reached the world's top 1% of Framer designers for the second year in a row. In this post, I share my 2025 statistics, completed work (including a Next.js -> Framer migration), and explain why Framer is the best choice for small businesses.
Framer Website Projects Year in Review
When clients look at a website project proposal, they often see numbers. They also probably hear comments about how complex everything is, and so on.
Framer sent a year-in-review summary to its top 10,000 users. Let's take a look at the statistics collected by Framer, and I’ll explain what some of these numbers actually mean.
It's important to note that the Framer summary only shows usage within that specific program. Some websites were designed in Figma, and for some projects, the design came from the client or another agency. Therefore, these numbers don't reflect the entire workload.
What is Framer?
Framer is a website building and hosting tool. If terms like Webflow, Squarespace, and Wix mean something to you, then Framer is their better alternative. It is a relatively new but very capable product in the web landscape. Unlike the AI hype, this is a real solution that allows for building proper websites faster.
By the end of 2025, we have reached a point where, for the average Estonian small business website project, it makes perfect sense to start designing directly in Framer. This project structure saves time and makes the entire website creation process even more client-friendly.

343,000+ Visits
The most popular project I worked on this year received 343,000 visits. It is worth noting that this website has only been live for a few months.
This was a project where the client wanted to migrate a marketing site built on Next.js technology over to Framer. They already had the design in Figma. My job was to rebuild the new website in Framer based on that design.
Why Framer and not Next.js?
- Developers' time isn't wasted on the marketing site
- Marketing can comfortably manage content
- Making changes is significantly faster
- Same or better performance (we actually improved it :))
80 Framer Projects
We didn't actually build that many full websites. Framer counts every new file started as a project. This could be a new website project, a copy, or just a tiny experiment where I try out a complex animation or interaction.
I already mentioned one project. Let's look at the others.
Media Company Website
We started the year strong. Design and Framer development for an Instagram marketing agency. A unique, strong-character, and sales-oriented website.

From East Coast to West Coast
Moving from Figma to Framer was the theme of this year. Towards the end of the year, I helped a Los Angeles entertainment industry creative studio with a 6-page Framer website.
Leaving AI hype aside, I would be very interested to know if any Estonian digital agency could produce an animated website within 48 hours. Using traditional development methods, I would guess that, personally, it would take me at least 4 times longer.
Assisting Other Agencies with Framer Development
Unfortunately, Framer is still a relatively unknown product on the Estonian market. However, I am glad that my work is trusted by very strong US agencies. From a purely practical side, these projects are even more profitable. While I cannot show the work in my own portfolio, the projects are smooth, and the entire focus can be placed solely on quality Framer development.

More Complex Framer Animations
In the middle of summer, I helped a SaaS entrepreneur with a more complex Framer animation. They had a website made based on a Framer template. However, one complex animation required expert help.
This highlights a huge Framer plus. For me, the whole project took just a few hours. Adding a designer or web animator to your project is incredibly simple. There is no hassle with version control or project setup.
Additionally, if you know how to animate in Framer, that part is also many times faster than with traditionally programmed websites.
Smaller Framer Jobs and Tasks
In addition to the aforementioned full website solutions, some smaller landing page or creative solution projects were also completed.
A restaurant website proposal, a small ad platform introduction for US investors, a medical-themed landing page, and an e-commerce course VSL.

Framer Templates
Since client projects tended to lean more towards Framer development, I kept myself active on the design side independently. This year included the design and development of 4 full Framer website templates.
1) Framer Website Template for a Law Firm
My first design template that went up on the official Framer portal. All templates in their portal are reviewed by their team and meet strong quality requirements. It is also good to see that the first websites have already been built on this base.
Framer Template: Clause2) Framer Website Design for a Robotics Startup
Inspired by Y-Combinator startups. Modern and unique design with micro-interactions. A few years ago, developing such a website alone would have taken a hundred work hours.
Framer Template: Aeva3) Framer Website Template for a VC Fund
Framer website design and development for a venture capital fund. Clean and modern design. CMS for managing both blog posts and invested projects. SEO optimized. This template is currently in the Framer review process, and hopefully, it will soon be available to remix from their official website.
Framer Template: Moro VC4) Framer Website Template for a Stone Studio
The gem of this year. These are exactly the kind of websites I want to make. Clean, minimalist, and sufficiently animated. PS! As an interesting fact, most of the photo material used for this template is AI-generated.
Some might call it AI slop, and there is certainly room to improve image quality. However, looking at it from a purely practical side, I think the result is excellent. AI usage should definitely not be feared, and it is yet another trump card for small businesses.
This design is also currently under review by Framer and will hopefully reach the official list of templates quite soon.
Framer Template: Lithos295 Hours of Framer Work Time
Is that a lot or a little? It took many hours. But actually, I think the result is excellent. I believe that in no other website building platform could so many things be done with such an expenditure of time.

I am satisfied myself. I could certainly speak louder about Framer's advantages and do more full solutions, but the year was successful, and belonging to the top (1%) is confirmation of that.
Unlike Wix and Webflow, for example, Framer has a separate desktop app. Meaning work doesn't have to be done in a browser. In my opinion, this alone gives a very large competitive advantage. For clients, however, everything can still be managed directly in the browser. A total win-win situation.

I believe that adding special details to website designs is worth it. Coding such a custom carousel with several different layouts and settings would, on its own, perhaps be one week of a programmer's work.
Framer is Suitable for Large Enterprise Websites
Skeptics might ask: if a small Estonian digital agency gets into the top 1% with a few projects, do big companies really use Framer? Yes. Websites for very well-known brands are made with it.
I personally believe that Framer is the most sensible solution for making smaller and medium-sized marketing sites, ahead of various AI-based solutions, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, and also Wordpress.
If a website with serious content volume is needed, then a custom Wordpress solution might be more expedient in some cases. But it is worth thinking about the fact that Framer is just getting started, and development is happening at tremendous speed.
Many Startups and Large Companies Use Framer
Framer is used, for example, by SpaceX (claimed IPO value in 2026: 800 billion), Perplexity (10+ billion), Zapier (5 billion), and many others.
